Another batch of original songs from local singer-songwriter Jason Archer.
1. Sound of a Hearbreak
Jason has been performing this song at concerts for a while now.
On this recording, local artist, Brendan Bell adds the banjo and Jason's wife Rachel sings the harmony.
This rendition seems a little more subdued than versions Jason has performed live.
Maybe he'll record and release a live version of this song down the road.
2. Go To Arizona
A lovely song with a simple arrangement.
This track features Jason on a well recorded acoustic guitar and vocals.
That's Memorial High School head football coach Marc Bindel on the piano, and again, Rachel Archer sings the harmony vocals.
This mix is just right.
Jason's voice sounds rich and sincere as he delivers his message.
3. Josephine
This track features Jason on acoustic guitar, vocals and harmonica.
There is also a mandolin in the mix.
This time Sara Schneider adds the harmony vocal.
4. Nowhere Town
If you live in Wichita Falls, this story might sound familiar to you.
It is specific and true, which might also make it relatable to those beyond this region.
Highways, dead shopping malls, football games, eating out.
Jason sings and plays the acoustic guitar.
Marc gets a little more active on the piano and Rachel sings the harmony vocals.
5. Coming Home is Free
For the title track, Jason goes it alone with his voice, harmonica and guitar.
Some folks they just stay mad
You can listen on Spotify, Apple Music or YouTube.
